Thank you to all of you who filled out my Getting to Know You surveys. They were really fun to read, and needless to say, I feel as if I got to know you guys a little better. Therefore it’s only fair that I answer some of those things myself:
I am almost 24 years old (May 12), my favorite color is blue, with green a close second, my favorite candy is Reeses, and I absolutely love Caramel Macchiatos from Starbucks. I love to play Guitar Hero and Rock Band … and I currently play each on medium … I hope to work up to hard over the summer and beat Race. I love to read and proudly own my nerdy-ness. I can swim. One of my most embarrassing moments to date was falling off stage while singing a solo on tour with a show choir. Six stairs, drummer at the bottom, not pleasant!
So that’s a little bit about me. Anyway, I’m glad that we’re all getting to know each other better. Do you want to know what’s interesting? Quite a few of you expressed a desire to know some more about the Bible. So here’s what I propose … some of the issues you guys asked to discuss we’ll talk about over the summer in various different settings. For those of you who said you wished you knew more memory verses, I don’t know if you know this or not, but every week Lee and I put a verse of the week in the Uth Nous. Feel free to use that as a starting place for memorizing verses. And while we’re at it, please don’t ever hesitate to come to Lee and I with your questions or concerns or ideas. We want to hear them!! I know I’ve said this before, but I’d just like reiterate how excited I am about this summer and all the fun we’re going to have. I’m also excited about what we’re going to learn. So let’s dive in!! The verse for this week should be one of our theme verses, in my opinion, because it really expresses what we’re trying to do! So let’s do it!
