Kristy Eggert is a 2006 Magna cum Laude graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. While attending Belmont she earned a bachelors degree in Commercial Music Vocal Performance and French. She has also studied abroad in Angers, France and participated in the Chadasha touring Gospel choir in which she served as Director and Spiritual Emphasis Coordinator.

As the new Interim Youth Minister at Smoke Rise, Kristy brings with her a considerable amount of experience in youth ministry that has enhanced her ability to interact with young people and aid in their spiritual growth. While attending Belmont, Kristy was a University Student Employee who worked closely with the University Minister and Associated University Minister in developing, organizing and implementing spiritual development programs and organized both local and national service projects. She also served as the Youth Ministry Intern at Rolling Hills Community Church in Nashville, Tennessee. During her internship at Rolling Hills she coordinated ministry opportunities, Bible studies, and youth programs in addition to teaching Sunday school. Kristy has also volunteered her time to a variety of ministry-oriented organizations such as Youth Encouragement Services, Feed the Children and Nashville Rescue Mission.

We are excited to welcome Kristy to Smoke Rise as the Interim Youth Minister and we feel she will be a wonderful addition to our ministerial staff. In her own words, her vision for her ministry with us is to “work with students by utilizing my passions, experiences and education to equip the next generation of Christian leaders.”
